Making AI Work for Business: Lessons, Practices, and Action

This session is designed for businesses that want to move beyond the hype around AI and start applying it in practical, responsible, and scalable ways.

Taking place as part of Oxford Tech Week, the afternoon will bring together practitioners, experts, and business leaders to explore the realities of implementing AI within organisations.

Date: Wednesday 27 May 2026
Time: 13:00 – 17:30
Location: In person, Saïd Business School (Park End Street, Oxford OX1 1HP)

The programme will begin with a practitioner-led session from the AI Centre for Business and Novaria.ai, exploring the most common challenges businesses face when adopting AI — including organisational readiness, workflow integration, and managing change.

This will be followed by a panel discussion hosted by the Oxford Saïd Entrepreneurship Centre, examining proven good practices and lessons from organisations that have successfully adopted AI. The panel will focus on what successful adopters do differently and how theory translates into practice.

After a short break, participants will take part in an interactive workshop on business strategy and workflow automation, delivered by the AI Centre for Business and industry partners. This hands-on session will help attendees identify automation opportunities, rethink workflows using AI, and leave with practical ideas that can be applied immediately within their organisations.
